The honored artist of Russia, Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria Republics. Zaur Тutov was born on January 1, 1951. After study at school where the future actor sang in school amateur performance, he has ended vocal branch of Musical school in Nalchik. With 1971 on 1973 Zaur served in the Soviet Army, in a land forces on island Sakhalin. After demobilization Тutov had been invited by the soloist in the Kabardino-Balkaria philharmonic society.
