“Khasa” public movement’s statement on fact of violence against its leaders

Nat Press - December 1 -- On November, 30th the public movement “Khasa” gathered its activists for carrying out a session in occasion of Adygheyan people’s meeting on December, 5th at 1:00 p.m. on the square of Abkhazia.

The session of the activists had been planned to 5:30 p.m. in the assembly hall of "Taxi pool". Approximately at 5:10 p.m. the office of the public movement “Khasa” was attacked by a group of sportsmen and criminals led by known criminal authority Alisag Shoghentsukov with nickname ‘Alikos’.

In the attacked group there were also security guards of Albert Nazranov's (figure, approached to KBR president with nickname ‘Negro’).

As a result of the attack they beat the chairman of KBR Circassian Congress Ruslan Keshev and Alberd Bor. With threefold crisis of a hand, a shoulder’s dislocation, crisis of the nose and a wide hematoma of the right eye Ruslan Keshev was transported to the fracture clinic of the republican hospital in Nalchik. The troublemakers beat severely and professionally: that speaks about corresponding training of those sportsmen - wrestlers, financed by holding "Sindica".

The purpose of the attackers was beating the leaders of the public movement “Khasa” Ibrahim Yaganov, Zamir Shukhov and Ruslan Keshev. Most likely the gangsters had the task "to neutralize" physically the leaders of the public movement “Khasa”, to break down the preparation and to not admit carrying out of the meeting dated for December, 5th”.

After the carrying out of the forum of November, 28th with participation of the persons mentioned above, the leaders of Adygheyan public organizations had repeatedly declared about provocations preparing against them. Members of the public movement “Khasa” declare as responsible for the happened prosecution the president of the republic A. B. Kanokov who, not having any other levers of influence on the public, had started using criminal structures and illegal actions, trying to squeeze out the public situation out from the legal field.

The Jordanian nongovernmental organization “Friends of Adyghes of Caucasus” expressed its extreme worries in occasion of the events in the Circassian republics. In the organization’s opinion, the attack committed against the leaders of the Adygeyan national movement is absolutely inadmissible phenomenon.

“Such attacks can have very dangerous consequences, - Mohammed Khamzoko, the head of the department of the organization on communications with historical native land explained to NatPress by phone, - And the direct duty of the top management of the republics is to prevent such incidents”.

In his opinion, the events which now occur in Karachaevo-Circassia and Kabardino-Balkaria have a huge meaning for the destiny of Adygeyan people. And the problems, which Adygs point out, should be solved within the limits of the interethnic interaction. Achieving that Adygs should show their solidarity all over the world.

As he noted in the end of the phone conversation, the present situation in the Circassian republics and in Northern Caucasus as a whole becomes the theme of the nearest session of the Council of the organization. “The events develop promptly, - he said, - They are initially complicated; and in aspiration to help our compatriots a serious analysis is needed”.

“Circassian congress” of Israel expresses its partnership and support to the chairman of "Circassian congress” of Kabardino-Balkaria Ruslan Keshev and Alberd Bor, beaten the last night in Nalchik by a group of sportsmen and criminals led by Alisag Shoghentsukov and Albert Nazranov. As the organization considers, Adyghes of the world are obliged to rally for protection of their leaders defending the national interests.

“Adyghes which both living abroad, and on the native land, have remained without own land, - the head of "Circassian congress” of Israel Adnan Orkiz commented for NatPress, - as well as during the former times are taken by force and aggression what actually does not remain any more - land under their feet. And the way it is carried out, can not be in any civilized frameworks: either in lawful, in democratic, or in religious ones”.

As he said, what occurs to Adygheyan lands - for the world in which today mankind lives - an anachronism. And the struggle against such phenomenon with observance of the legal norms is the most complicated problem. So the Diaspora should support the compatriots more actively.

He reminded that on December, 4th in Istanbul they planned a session of the International Circassian Association. And on December, 6th in Ankara there should be held a congress of Circassian Khasa Federation of Turkey. “The present notorious events to Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachaevo-Circassia should essentially become the basic topics of the meetings, - Adnan Orkiz stated.
