Circassian Cultural Institute of New Jersey is hosting Oliver Bullough

The New Jersey based American-Circassian NGO, Circassian Cultural Institute, is hosting a talk and book signing by the Welsh writer Oliver Bullough on Friday 29th 2011. Bullough’s book “Let Our Fame Be Great: Journeys Among the Defiant Peoples of the Caucasus”, which investigates the atrocities carried out both by the tsarist and Soviet Russia’s armies against the Nogai, Circassians, Karachai-Balkar and Chechens of the North Caucasus in the 19th and 20th Century, came out in 2010 and has recently been shortlisted for the 2011 George Orwell Prize for Journalism.
